Nanna Ditzel (1923 - 2005), 'The Grand Dame of Danish Design', was one of the most influential and significant Danish designers of the 20th Century. Her creative career spanned 60 years.

Originally working in collaboration with her husband Jørgen Ditzel (1921 - 1961) and after his death on her own, her expansive portfolio includes furniture, textiles, jewellery and homeware.
​
She is well known for some of her iconic designs, including the Hanging Egg Chair, Bench for Two, Hallingdal Fabric and the Trinidad Chair.
​
Today many of her designs are still in production.

August 2024: New Nanna Ditzel Children's Library in Kolding, Denmark opens following Trapholt exhibition.
2023 was the 100 year anniversary of Nanna Ditzel’s birth, and many exciting things happened.
The book 'Nanna Ditzels smykker' by Anne Cathrine Wolsgaard Iversen was published.
The exhibition 'Taking Design to New Heights' at Trapholt was a great success.
