Tux Easy Chair

Designed by

Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel

1955

It was important to Nanna and Jørgen Ditzel that chairs work visually from all sides and fit the human form. The Tux Armchair with its footstool has a distinctive and majestic design, and the name Tux, the English/American abbreviation of Tuxedo, is an allusion to undeniable urbanity. The chair was developed in collaboration with carpenter Søren Villadsen and was presented at the "Købestævnet i Fredericia 1955".
